Music

Playing with others: Collaborations & Rehearsals,

Ensemble

Combination of Western and Traditional Music

I reinterpreted traditional Chinese music by arranging the score for an ensemble featuring the erhu as the lead melody and the piano as accompaniment. Bringing together the expressive nuances of the erhu and the harmonic richness of the piano, this arrangement created a dialogue between Eastern and Western musical traditions. The performance required careful coordination, as each instrument had to complement the other while preserving its distinct character. Through this reinterpretation, I explored how creative collaboration can transform a familiar melody into a new musical experience.
