Gourd, Everywhere
Art CollectionThrough everyday observation, I noticed how ubiquitous gourds are in objects, ornaments, and urban spaces. This discovery led me to investigate their transformation from practical containers for water, wine, medicine, and seeds into symbols of well-being, life, and cosmic imagination. I found that the gourd’s hollow cavity is not an absence, but an open possibility: a vessel continually reshaped by the desires and collective memories of different eras. What might we place inside it today, and what do we hope to carry into the future?
